The former French Foreign Minister Charles Pasqua was sentenced to one year in prison, the son of ex-president Mitterand was also found guilty and Pierre Falcone and Arcady Gaydamak were both sentenced to 6 years in prison. The whole scandal enmeshed french politicians and socialites alike and forced open the truth behind some dubious oil deals in Angola in the 1990's.
