RiskScreen FAQ

What sources does RiskScreen cover?

RiskScreen Searches OFAC & HMT Sanctions listings and Google.

RiskScreen works in 5 very easy steps - enter the name of your entity and go to:

  • Step 1 - Search OFAC & HMT sanctions
  • Step 2 - Search Google for political search terms such as politician, member of parliament, ambassador etc
  • Step 3 - Search Google for criminal or adverse terms such as bribery, corruption, money laundering, terrorism etc and then,
  • Step 4 - Search Google for a 'neutral' search with no added key terms
  • Step 5 - Print a time and date stamped report with a record of any flags that you might have raised during the search process.

In addition to adding in pre-defined keywords for both criminal searches and political exposure the system also manipulates names so that we search first name and last name and last name, first name or last middle and first etc.  If you select name variations we can also look for nicknames and derivatives etc. At any stage you can mark results with one of the flags and highlight it's importance to your search. The system will show this in the print report.

A real advantage of RiskScreen is that we leave our footprint on Google but your company doesn’t.
